59 Baseball merges with Sox Baseball
Effective November 1 - Matt Miller, founder and owner of 59 Baseball announced that his baseball facility and teams that play under the 59 name has been merged into P360 Performance Sports. All teams become Sox teams, effective today.
Matt Miller is a former MLB pitcher, playing for the Cleveland Indians and Colorado Rockies. The organization includes teams from 8U - 14U in the youth program and 3 high school teams branded 59 Prospects, will join the SBG Sox program headed by Chris Snopek - also a former MLB player with the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox.
In discussing the move, Matt Miller commented. "this move is very good for all of our players and their families and I know they share in my excitement. It's a great move for youth baseball in the Hattiesburg area as well." Miller will continue with the company in developing teams and implementing the P360 training programs.
Chris Snopek started P360 Performance Sports in 2001, with the addition of Sox baseball in 2009. He has coached teams to 3 national championships, while Sox teams have enjoyed over 120 tournament championships with almost 60 State championship banners from Perfect Game, USSSA, Grand Slam, 2D, OTC and others along the way. Entering it's 12th season, Sox baseball adds a new product for 2020. The Snopek Baseball Group (SBG) was formed to provide a regional and national platform for high school players in showcase baseball. Focusing primarily on the state of Mississippi, the initial season for SBG Sox will field 9 high school teams, including the 59 Prospect teams that played under Matt Miller's brand. "I have a lot of respect for Matt and what he has built in Hattiesburg. According to Snopek, "Having another facility to provide our training programs and coaching model is a nice addition to P360. The quality of his organization makes us stronger...and better. I enjoy working with Matt."
The Sox baseball organization will have over 20 teams from the ages of 8 - 14, and nine high school teams that will play in the SBG Sox High School Showcase Baseball Program.
P360 Performance Sports has two facilities, one located at 6649 Richmond Grove Road in Jackson, and now one located at 42 Office Park Drive in Hattiesburg. Sox Baseball has over 20 youth teams from ages 8 -14, and nine High School teams in its Showcase Baseball Program.
