P360 Acquires Another Facility in Hattiesburg

Jackson MS – P360 Performance Sports announced today that it has acquired another baseball academy and organization to further expand the Sox Baseball brand. Based in Jackson, P360 has been the home of Sox baseball for 11 years, with over 40 Sox teams in Jackson and Hattiesburg.

Mississippi Elite Baseball, based in Hattiesburg, has entered into a merger agreement with P360 Performance Sports, including the addition of its 25,000 square foot facility which provides professional baseball training to players from 8 years old to college. It will be rebranded under the P360 banner, and its youth and high school showcase teams will join the growing Sox Baseball brand next Spring. The transaction is effective December 3rd.

P360 Performance Sports was founded by Chris Snopek, the former Ole Miss All-American and All-SEC player. He played professionally for the Chicago White Sox, which drafted him in the 6th round from Ole Miss. “Our goal has always been to reach players and teach them the game. To help them unlock their potential as a baseball player…no matter what that potential may be”, stated Snopek. “This is a game of people and adding quality people to our organization only makes it better. Drew Mattison is one of those people”.

Drew Mattison founded Mississippi Elite Baseball 7 years ago. Serving as the Athletic Director and Baseball Coach at Lamar Christian, Mattison has a strong baseball background. “Chris Snopek has built an outstanding and growing organization. It is a great fit for our coaches and teams and I really wanted to be a part of it. It was an easy decision,” said Mattison. As part of the transaction, immediate upgrades to the facility will get underway in December, along with the P360 Hitting and Pitching Instruction programs that will be introduced in January.

The Mississippi Elite transaction comes on the heels of the merger with 59 Baseball in Hattiesburg on November 1st. Adding the facility allows the company to provide a more robust offering for baseball instruction while continuing to build its roster of teams. Known nationally for its player development, Sox teams have won two national championships with over 800 players moving to the next level collegiately and professionally. The facility will be home to almost 20 Sox teams initially in the Hattiesburg area.
