P360 Fall Wood Bat League is largest in 15 Year History

Opening Night for the P360 Fall Wood Bat League is set for September 8th in Hattiesburg and September 9th in Jackson. To kick off the season, the inaugural campaign for Hattiesburg, a showcase will be held at USM on September 7th hosted PBR Mississippi. Teams in Hattiesburg will play at USM, Jones and Pearl River CC. Jackson area games will be played at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland. All games will be played on Mondays and Thursdays in both cities.
Almost 250 high school players from the Jackson and Hattiesburg areas will compete for the championship in their city. A total of 18 teams, 10 in Jackson and 8 in Hattiesburg will take the field this Fall, with a new twist...the semifinalists from both locations will meet to crown their city champion - and those champions will compete for the state championship.

Playoffs will be the week of October 11th, with two semi finalists from both locations meeting at Trustmark Park in Pearl to crown a Champion on Sunday, October 17th. The semifinal games will start at 11 AM and the Championship Game will be held at 3:00 PM. Trustmark Park is the home of the Mississippi Braves, the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
