P360 Performance Sports Acquires Development Property on the Ross Barnett Reservoir

Jackson MS - P360 Performance Sports, a baseball academy with operations in Jackson and Hatties

burg, announced today a major project under development in the Jackson Metro area. P360 has purchased a 27-acre commercial property located on Spillway Road in Rankin county on the Ross Barnett Reservoir. The transaction closed October 8th. The location, formerly the Rapids on the Reservoir water park, will be the site of the company’s headquarters, including a new baseball academy and training center, turf baseball fields to host high school showcase and youth level events, athlete performance training, sports medicine, and more. The site plan includes an 8-court volleyball center, adding a playing venue for the exceedingly popular Beach Volleyball for local clubs as well as the tournament circuit. Prime locations on the premises for a restaurant and hotel is included in the site plan, which was unanimously approved by the PRVWD Board of Directors.


Located equally between Atlanta and Dallas on I-20, and on I-55 between Memphis and New Orleans, the site will serve a large travel baseball community within driving distance of Jackson. The population within 400 miles of Jackson is almost 50 million, with a growth rate of almost 10% in just the last 10 years. P360 has owned and operated the nationally recognized Sox Baseball organization since 2009, which has grown from two local teams to over 40 teams with players from all over the state, serving over 600 players annually with its organized teams and High School and Collegiate leagues. The company’s location in Jackson is currently under contract for a new development.


Facilities in Jackson and Hattiesburg train teams from the ages of 8-21, with over 30 teams competing in youth travel ball tournaments. The SBG Sox High School Showcase Program produces teams consisting of high school players, playing on the showcase exhibition circuit for college recruiters and professional scouts. In the 2020 Summer season over 40 players from the program committed to play college baseball upon high school graduation. Started by Chris Snopek after he retired from MLB 20 years ago, P360 baseball programs have had over 800 players that have played beyond high school participate in its various programs. The summer of 2020 also had over 100 college players with NCAA eligibility remaining participate in the Southeast Collegiate League, with teams in Jackson, Hattiesburg, and Baton Rouge. Snopek stated, “We are blessed and excited to bring this sports development on the Reservoir. Our coaches and employees look forward to the opportunity to serve the Tri-County area baseball and sports families while positively impacting tomorrow’s youth for the Kingdom.”


Daniel Cross, Rankin County Supervisor added, “Youth sports play a critical role in the development of our kids. An organization like P360 and SBG Sox Baseball building a facility like this in Rankin County will help instill leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship to shape our children’s future”.






Century Construction Group has been selected for Design/Build of the project, teaming with Neel-Shaffer, Inc. to provide engineering. “Century Construction Group is thrilled to be a part of the new P360 Baseball & Volleyball Training Facility and Fields Development”, commented Matt Mills. “Not only will it be great for the young athletes of the Jackson Metroplex. But will continue to serve future generations to come.” Chris Trebisky PE stated, “Neel-Schaffer is thrilled to be the Engineer of Record for this project. Ravenwood Financial Services Corp arranged financing and provides investment services for the project.
