P360 Performance Sports Welcomes SSG Sox Softball to the Gulf Coast
P360 Performance Sports Gulf Coast Director Sean Steverson announced today the addition of the popular SSG Sox Softball program to the area. The new Director for SSG Sox Softball on the coast is Emily Todd, Head Softball Coach at Biloxi High School.
Emily is a graduate of Clinton High School, where she lettered and was the team MVP for five seasons. Breaking numerous school records, her #4 jersey became the first retired number at Clinton High School. She continued her career at Delta State, selected to the Gulf South Conference All West Division Second Team as a true freshman shortstop. Finishing her career and earning her degree at Belhaven, Emily was named to the Southern States Athletic Conference All Tournament Team in 2015. She was also an All SSAC First Team Selection that season.
Emily Todd earned her Masters Degree at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Playing in the Great American Conference, she coached four First Team All Conference players, two Second Team All Conference players, and an All American selection. Six players that she coached were awarded the Crafton Tull Distinguished Award, with at least a 3.70 GPA.
Emily was named the Assistant Softball Coach at Biloxi High School upon graduating with her Masters Degree, and begins her 2nd season as the Head Coach in 2022. She has spent a lifetime in softball, and commented, "I am passionate about softball and cannot wait to begin working side by side with players and coaches all across the coast."
With 12 years experience playing travel softball and as a college recruiter, Emily Todd brings the whole package to the SSG Sox Softball Program on the Gulf Coast.
SSG Sox Softball Tryouts will be announced in the coming days, with those dates released on the P360 Gulf Coast Facebook page.
P360 Performance Sports is the home of the SBG and SSG Sox Youth and High School Showcase Programs. Facilities are in Jackson, Pearl, Hattiesburg, The Barnett Reservoir (under development), Ocean Springs (under development), Pascagoula and Auburn AL. The facilities are equipped for instruction in Pitching, Hitting, Fielding and Speed & Agility training for players of all ages. Daily Classes are held Monday-Thursday in all locations, providing group skills training for SBG and SSG Sox players, which is included in their membership.
Professional Instructors are on staff to provide individual private training for players. Several additional training programs are available to all members. In Pearl, Hattiesburg and Auburn, Performance Training for athletes is offered by professional staff trained in this discipline.
In 2021, over 1,800 players participated in the various programs and leagues provided by P360 Performance Sports, including the Southeast Collegiate League with college players with NCAA eligibility playing in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Alabama.
