SBG Sox 2021 was the #1 seed in their bracket, defeating East Coast Sox 2021 Founders Club by a final score of 8-2 to bring home the championship
SBG Sox 2023 Red and Navy teams were both the top seed out of their brackets, meeting for the 2023 Championship, with the Red team coming away with the Championship 12-3. Jake Devalk, SBG Sox Navy, was awarded the MVPitcher award for the event and Josh Gunther was named the tournament MVP from SBG Sox Red.
SBG Sox Red remain undefeated and is 9-0 for the Fall.
SBG Sox 13U Blackburn won the Grand Slam MS State Qualifier in Brandon with a decisive 11-1 victory over Warhawks Baseball. Eight Sox players put a hit on the board in the championship game, and Layne Adams did the damage on the mound with 3.1 innings pitched, giving up 2 hits and 0 runs while striking out 4 batters. 13U Blackburn is now 5-2 for the Fall. Adam Clower leads the team with a .556 batting average, with Layne Adams and Cameron Sandel leading the team with six hits each. Layne Adams has pitched 11.1 innings, and leads the SBG Sox 13U Division with 16 strikeouts. with his 2.65 ERA ranking 3rd.
SBG Sox 10 U Estes won the USSSA Flowood Classic in Flowood with a long, come-from-behind victory over the Madison County Thunder Red. The visitors for the game, 10U Estes trailed 10-5 going into the last inning...and put 6 runs on the board on 6 hits in the inning, with 2 walks. The decisive at-bat was Easton Biggs, who came to the plate with 2 outs and two runners on. Emmett Cauthen scored from 3B, stealing home before the first pitch to Biggs. He delivered the go ahead RBI on an 0-2, 2-out count, delivering a line drive to left field, scoring Maddox Cark from second base. Hayes Keith took the mound in the bottom of the inning, inducing 2 ground ball outs and finished the game with a strikeout to secure the win.
SBG Sox 12U Adams/Hamby won the consolation bracket over the Brandon Blaze with 9-5 victory at The Quarry in Brandon. The Sox had to dispatch the MS Yankees 12U Black team in the semi-finals, winning that game 5-4. Five Sox players had two hits in the Championship game, with Luke Essary delivering 3 RBI. Dalton Maddox pitched three innings on the mound, striking out three, allowing 3 earned runs.
