At P360 Performance Sports, we have Professional Instructors with College and/or Professional  experience--sharing their personal baseball knowledge and improving each player's skill set in the following ways: 

  • PITCHING:

    • Teaching proper fundamentals while advancing pitch command/selection and  increasing velocity.

  • HITTING:

    • Teaching proper fundamentals, developing how to handle the bat, loading properly, staying though baseballs at contact, and increasing power.

  • FIELDING:

    • Teaching proper fundamentals, the ability to use backhand/forehand, clean exchange, and players using their feet to be in a better position to throw.

Larry Knight

Larry Knight coached high school baseball for 27 years at Hattiesburg and Sumrall high schools, compiling a record of 695-202 (.773 winning percentage). Coach Knight’s teams reached the South State Championship 18 times, advancing to the State Championship 15 times, winning 10 State Championships between 1994-2020. His first ring was as an assistant at Petal (1991-1993) before winning four championships at Hattiesburg High School (1994-2006). Leading the Sumrall baseball team from 2007-2020, he added five more championships to his resume, including four consecutive rings from 2008-2011.

The 2009 team started an amazing run for Sumrall, finishing the season as only the second undefeated team in the state at 36-0. This team would put together a state record 67 consecutive wins from 2009-2011 and finished #1 in the Max Prep National Rankings. The 2010 championship team ended the season as Mississippi’s first #1 nationally ranked team in the USA Today rankings – and Coach Knight was named the USA Today National Coach of the Year.

Coach Knight served as a graduate assistant for William Carey University for two seasons, and the Associate Head Coach and Pitching Coach last season at Jones College. For the season, the Jones College pitching staff led the MACCC league in strikeouts, strikeout to walk ratio, and strikeouts per nine innings. The team finished third in the league in ERA as five pitchers from the staff moved on to NCAA Division I baseball teams. Over 100 players have advanced to college baseball under Coach Knight’s leadership, with 19 advancing to professional baseball, including four major leaguers.

Landon Harper

 Landon Harper is from Meridian, MS. He attended Northeast Lauderdale High School and went on to play two years at Pearl River CC where he excelled on the mound before signing with The University of Southern Mississippi.  In his one year with the Golden Eagles, he recorded a 3.30 ERA, struck out 50 batters and walked just nine. Landon was selected in the 14th round of the 2022 MLB First Year Player Draft to the Atlanta Braves and is a current MILB player in the Braves organization. Landon is a pitching instructor at P360 Hattiesburg.

Scott Copeland

Scott Copeland was born and raised in White Oak, Texas.  He played collegiate baseball at Panola College and Southern Miss.  Scott was selected in the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st Round.  Scott made his MLB debut in 2015 with the Toronto Blue Jays, and he went on to pitch for the New York Mets in 2018.  Scott primarily focuses on developing pitchers.

Robert Carson

Robert Carson is from Hattiesburg, MS. Robert attended Hattiesburg High School where he was a standout pitcher for the Tigers during his prep career. After his senior season (2007) Robert was selected in the 14th round by the New York Mets and made his major league debut for the Mets in 2012. Robert went on to play 15 years of professional baseball while also beginning his coaching/player development career. He has taught pitching at all levels of baseball including the professional level for the Quebec Capitales of the Frontier League where he was named the 2022 "Coach of the Year" and led his staff to achieve "2022 Pitching Staff of the Year". Robert is a pitching instructor at P360 Hattiesburg.

Scott Copeland

Chris Bedenbaugh

Chris Bedenbaugh is from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  He has 13 years of experience coaching 13/14u teams, and he has also coached at Hattiesburg High School for 4 years.  Chris mainly helps develop players' Hitting, Defense, and Pitching at P360-Hattiesburg.

Toddric Johnson

Toddric Johnson is from Jackson, Mississippi.  In college, he played at Meridian CC and Southern Miss, where he was named a preseason All-Conference USA selection by Baseball America in 2006.  Toddric was drafted 3 separate times (Marlins '03, Padres '04, A's '06) and played 5 seasons in the Oakland Athletics Organization.  Toddric gives lessons in all areas of the game.

Jeff Farris

Jeff Farris is from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  He has 34 years of coaching experience, including 8 years at Presbyterian Christian High School and several seasons at Petal High School.  In his time not spent on a baseball field, Jeff invented Tunnel Vision Sports Training Glasses.  He has been teaching Hitting for 30 years with an emphasis on the fundamentals and a Hitter's mental approach and confidence.

Sarah Van Schaik

Sarah Van Schaik is from Petal, Mississippi and graduated from Petal High School.  After high school, Sarah played her freshman and sophomore seasons (2016 & 2017) at Ole Miss.  In 2017, Sarah was a member of the SEC Tournament Championship Ole Miss team that advanced to the Los Angeles Super Regional hosted by UCLA.  Sarah then played her junior and senior seasons at Southern Miss.  With experience at multiple positions in college (catcher / infield), Sarah gives Hitting and Fielding lessons at P360 Hattiesburg.

Drew Mattison

Drew Mattison is from Mobile, Alabama.  The current Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach at Lamar Christian High School gives lessons in all areas of the game.
